i would like to share something i`ve read.. this article is written by Dr. Tareq Al-Suwaidan .. lets read it.~~=-)
One of the efficient leader attributes is the ability of self- control as well as his subordinates, but this control should have rules and principles ,but if control comes in a sudden and harsh way it would lose authority. Leader should have strong personality in order to be able to keep on clear and reasonable thinking despite hardships and stress, looking for truth holding it on whatever it costs, and to survive critical situations patiently even if all people around him draw back and retreat. Dear reader this characteristic is a negative attribute which inclined to dictatorship, this could not be true if the leader sticks to the 4 rules of control: constant presence & knowledge , good management ,direction and influence .
Today we will start with first rule of controlling, constant presence & knowledge 1- constant presence and following all details and comprehending information. Constant presence of leader and processing , checking and knowing all details give the others feeling of strength which leader have and his ability of fair control as well as seeing him the decipher who updates in a positive way. In this Omar Ben ALKhattab said to people "You think if I appoint the finest someone in charge in the best of my knowledge, have I done my duty towards you? They answered : yes. He replied no , till I check If he has done what I asked him to do or not. In this we see details following and checking junior leader's work .One of constant presence and knowledge: to put your junior leaders under test .Which Omar Ben ALKhattab did when he send 4400 Dirham to Abu Obida who was army general and asked his messenger to check what will Abu Obida do in the money, and upon hearing Abu Obida conduct in distributing the whole sum equally between people ,Omar Thanked God that This deed comes from only a Muslim leader who prefers others over himself . 2- knowledge and deep understanding : Western thinkers Bacon and Hopes concluded more than 200 years ago in their essay about leader's capability of controlling, saying : knowledge means power .And here he is Abu Baker AlSeddiq saying to Omar Ben AlKhattab upon the latter annoyance because Amr Ben ALAas conduct in Zat Alsalasel Battle: messenger Mohammed (peace be upon him) would not assign Amr as the army general if he did not knew his talent in war . Even in Omar correspondences to armies on the borders he proved himself (may God be pleased with him) to have knowledge ,strength and deep understanding of incidents. Before AlKadesieh Battle he ordered Otba Ben Ghazwan in his march to Iraq saying :Oh Otba your Muslim brothers had conquered ALHIRA city and beyond and their horses had crossed Euphrates to Babylon ,the city of Harut & Marut (the tow dimons of Babylon ) mightiest people land's, and their horses raids today on Ctesiphon (AL-Mada in ), and now I send you in this army so go and raid on Al-Ahwaz (the eastern bank of Arab Gulf ,Iran nowadays ) to distract them so that they do not aid the people of Azerbaijan who fights your brothers there .so you fight them in the district beyond Al-Billa (region in Iraq). If Ben Alkhattab Was not well known of war details and the region geography he could not direct his troops in the right direction . May Allah S.W.T bless us always...Ameen..........
